Notes from the Ether for the week of Nov.
7th.

I am Still Langer and safe to say, I am glad that I approve this message and
that the election is finally over.
-
Was at the Pats game last week, and I gotta tell ya, what a fantastic feeling to see the Steelers just
demolish Belechik and Brady. That is a euphoria that
I think was probably felt back in 1978-79 when the Stillers
set fire to the Oilers at the Blast Furnace. Everyone
around me was feeling real good, my good friend Bud Carson was with me and swilling
beers. Even the hot chippie in the men's room was feeling pretty good. The guy
dressed as a stripper even though his gut was King Kong Bundy sized was feeling
good. The guy with the Fauria jersey getting screamed
at by Yinzers was NOT feeling good. Oh man, I've been
to a lot of games and that was without a doubt the best time I've ever had.
Brady had no chance BUT he got me a little bit nervous on that first drive with
the dink and dunk which is the kryptonite that kills the Super Stillers' powers.

Big huge kudos to Chris "The Real Deal" Hoke.
I don't think it was mentioned much but he had a stellar game last week and
continued his abuse of linemen this week. I don't know what it is about Stiller
NTs and delivering abuse, but the play at NT has not
diminished. Not yet been tested by a real running game but holy hell did he abuse
the Pats center. I focused on him for the first half (I couldn't focus all that
well in the second half) but there was one play, one of the first he was in on,
where he went right at the center driving him back into Brady, but what was
great about this play were his George Foreman like head punches, over and over
again he just nailed the guy in the head. THAT is Stiller
football. That guy has a huge Top Fuel motor. I expect him to cut and gash the JaBrownies Oline, turning them
into a mass of meatloaf.
-
Met Wolf and Tunch after the game, two of my heroes.
That capped off the day. Said to Wolf "Hey, Tackle Eligible!" he
replied with "that's the story of my life." Great
guy. Not as big as I woulda thought, tho.
-
While hanging at the Cabana, I noticed Mahrn imbibing
in something that wasn't exactly non-alcoholic water. He doesn't look good,
smoking and drinking like a college freshman. my Dad listened to the post game
show on the way home and said he thought Mahrn was plastered...well
he was. I can attest to that.
-
I loved seeing TO = BO get into McOverrated's ear for
a good 20 yards. That team is set to implode. The only thing stopping them from
cratering is a cake sched
coming up.
-
I close with my Jack Ham impression.
 "I gotta
tell ya, like I said, number one, Ben Rosslisberge, again, at least, scheme, pre-read, safety
position, like I said, add in the fact, I mean, like I said, I tell ya."
