.1.San Diego Chargers14-2Schottenheimer joins Shula, Halas, Landry and Lambeau as the only coaches with 200 regular season victories.
.2.Baltimore Ravens13-3The QB is better than in 2000. The defense isn't as good.
.4.New England Patriots12-4Scored 104 points in their last 3 games after getting shut out in Miami.
.6.Indianapolis Colts12-4The pressure is on Manning. Have to get an early lead and keep scoring to win in the playoffs. Run defense makes it impossible for them to play from behind.
.3.Chicago Bears13-3Desperately need either Grossman or Griese to step up.
.5.New Orleans Saints10-6Rested their stars with nothing to gain on Sunday. Head into the playoffs with the first bye in franchise history.
.7.Philadelphia Eagles10-6Offensive line proving they can run block. If only Reid had figured that out before McNabb's injury.
.10.New York Jets10-6Easily handled the Raiders to secure a wildcard.
.14.Kansas City Chiefs9-7LJ broke the single season record for carries with 416 as losses by the Broncos, Bengals and Titans got them in the playoffs.
.8.Denver Broncos9-7Stunning loss to the Niners wasn't the worst part of the weekend after the death of Williams.
.16.Pittsburgh Steelers8-8A bittersweet end. Beat the Bengals and knocked them out of the playoffs. Only 1 more win would have gotten them the 6th seed in the AFC.
.12.Cincinnati Bengals8-8Lost the final 3 to fall out of playoff contention.
.9.Tennessee Titans8-8Fell just short of what would have perhaps been the most improbable playoff run in history. Excercised Fisher's option for next year. Expect a multiyear extension.
.18.Seattle Seahawks9-7Lucky to be in the NFC West.
.11.Dallas Cowboys9-7Head into the playoffs on a decidedly down note after losing at home to the Lions. Having to travel to Seattle may not be such a bad thing consdering they lost their last 3 home games.
.21.New York Giants8-8Barber extended his career for at least another week by almost single handedly carrying his team past the Redskins and into the playoffs.
.15.Green Bay Packers8-8Expect Favre back. Don't be fooled by the tears in his postgame sideline interview.
.13.Jacksonville Jaguars8-8Offensive collapse caused Del Rio to shake up the coaching staff.
.19.St. Louis Rams8-8Defense needs an infusion of talent.
.20.Carolina Panthers8-8Another year like this and Cowher may be replacing Fox for 2008.
.17.Buffalo Bills7-9Losman looks like the answer. I am honestly surprised.
.25.San Fransisco 49ers7-9Gore was a revelation. Smith started to develop. Nolan has them on the right track.
.22.Atlanta Falcons7-9Stumbled down the stretch for the second year in a row. Next coach needs to figure out the best way to utilize Vick.
.23.Miami Dolphins6-10Saban preaches loyalty and commitment. Yet Saban is neither loyal nor committed. His lies shouldn't really come as a surprise. Saban lied before. Expect him to lie again. That said, Saban taking the Alabama job is probably best for all involved. He really is a better college coach than pro coach.
.27.Houston Texans6-10Finished on a high note for Kubiak.
.24.Arizona Cardinals5-11Again failed to meet expectations. Green paid with his job.
.26.Minnesota Vikings6-10Can not go into next season with Johnson at QB. And Jackson does not look ready.
.28.Washington Redskins5-11Went from playing in the second week of last year's playoffs to only 5 wins. A bitter disappointment.
.29.Tampa Bay Buccaneers4-12Another 2005 playoff team that fell apart. Gruden will be on the hot seat next season.
.32.Detriot Lions3-13Lost the first pick by winning in Dallas. Then came word that Millen will keep his job. Not a good week for what's left of the fan base.
.30.Cleveland Browns4-12Need to find a QB and gamebreaking runner. The job done by Savage has been disappointing. Crennel has simply not been given the talent to win.
.31.Oakland Raiders2-14Rolled over and died in the Meadowlands. A fitting end to an abysmal season.
