Power Rankings (week 11)

November 23, 2016 by Steel Haven

Rnk LW* Team Record Comments
1. 1. New England Patriots 8-2 Brady's 199th victory ties Favre, only a single win behind Peyton for most by a starting QB.
2. 2. Dallas Cowboys 9-1 Won 9 in a row for the first time in franchise history. Only loss this season was by 1 point to the Giants in the opener.
3. 3. Oakland Raiders 8-2 Would have home field by tiebreaker over the Patriots in the AFC if the season ended today.
4. 5. Seattle Seahawks 7-2-1 Need Rawls to stay healthy with Prosise suffering a broken scapula after Michael was shipped out of town.
5. 7. New York Giants 7-3 Tied with Dolphins for the 2nd longest active win streak. Only team that has beaten the Cowboys.
6. 6. Denver Broncos 7-3 Can Siemian step up his game post bye? If not should they give Lynch another opportunity?
7. 4. Kansas City Chiefs 7-3 Smith has still yet to reach double digit passing TDs this season.
8. 8. Atlanta Falcons 6-4 Come off the bye hoping to avoid a repeat of last season's collapse.
9. 9. Detroit Lions 6-4 Still have trailed in the 4th quarter of every game this season.
10. 13. Washington Redskins 6-3-1 Cousins making himself a lot of money.
11. 15. Minnesota Vikings 6-4 The 4th team in league history with a pair of 100+ yard TDs in a single game.
12. 16. Miami Dolphins 6-4 Only had 88 yards of total offense through 54 minutes before waking up to gain 152 yards and score a pair of TDs on their final 2 drives to win in LA.
13. 10. Houston Texans 6-4 Done in by a series of controversial calls in Mexico City including a clear touchdown by Hopkins called out of bounds outside the 30 and a pair of horrible spots on consecutive plays which cost them a 1st down late in a tie game. O'Brien didn't help matters by punting with only a single timeout and just over 3 minutes remaining down by a TD.
14. 11. Philadelphia Eagles 5-5 Hamstrung by Wentz's inability to get the ball downfield. Uninspiring receivers don't help.
15. 12. Baltimore Ravens 5-5 Flacco has only 10 TD passes this season to go with 9 interceptions.
16. 18. Pittsburgh Steelers 5-5 Schedule makers did them no favors with a pair of road games only 4 days apart, at least Cleveland and Indianapolis aren't that far away. Could get a major break with Luck in the concussion protocol.
17. 22. Indianapolis Colts 5-5 Won 2 games in a row for the 1st time this season in part due to 8 total sacks against Rodgers and Mariota. Luck in the concussion protocol may not be available on Thanksgiving night.
18. 23. Buffalo Bills 5-5 Hoping Shady won't miss any time despite surgery on Monday to repair a dislocated thumb.
19. 14. Arizona Cardinals 4-5-1 Season basically over because of offensive line's inability to protect Palmer.
20. 25. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5-5 Wildly inconsistent winning road games in Kansas City, Charlotte and Atlanta while losing 4 of 5 at home.
21. 27. Carolina Panthers 4-6 Kept their season alive on Thursday night winning a close game over the Saints.
22. 17. New Orleans Saints 4-6 Loved the throwback monochrome white jerseys with gold numerals on Thursday night.
23. 19. Tennessee Titans 5-6 Lost 11th straight against the Colts.
24. 20. Green Bay Packers 4-6 On the brink. Return of Matthews didn't really help the defense all that much in Washington.
25. 21. Cincinnati Bengals 3-6-1 Lost Bernard for the season, Green for at least a week and probably more. Not sure Lewis can survive this debacle.
26. 26. San Diego Chargers 4-6 Come off the bye basically needing to win out just to have a chance at a wild card, getting out of last in their division.
27. 24. Los Angeles Rams 4-6 Kept a tight rein on Goff and after missing a FG with 6 minutes remaining blew a 10 point shutout lead.
28. 28. New York Jets 3-7 Healthy Fitzpatrick will start reportedly at least partly because of fears by Bowles the veterans would revolt if Petty was given the job. What a mess.
29. 29. Chicago Bears 2-8 Shoulder injury could sideline Cutler for the remainder of the season which is probably what Fox wants anyway.
30. 30. Jacksonville Jaguars 2-8 Outplayed the Lions in Detroit yet lost by giving up an interception and punt return for TDs.
31. 31. San Francisco 49ers 1-9 Had no chance against visiting Patriots which was not exactly a shock.
32. 32. Cleveland Browns 0-11 Roethlisberger tied Anderson for the most wins by a QB (not just opposing QB) in Cleveland since expansion.
