weekend. This weekends US Swimming meet was held at

we had to arrive by 9, meet started at 10:30my kids first event wasnt until

you know that my techno-skills are.uh.lacking.so I was unable to generate
the following info through, googling, yodeling, or

this information. Had
no paper, no writing utensil.
Hold on.a few business cards came out of my wallet. The first was from a local attorney lest I
find myself in a legal quagmire. How
might this happen? Oh .I dont knowmy trip to Foxboro next Sunday could present a
problem, or other Steelers-related issues.
I came upon a card with my next haircut appointment.Lisa, from Shear

a card, so Ill use the back of that one.
Then came the card of some Haz-Mat

table, my kid set it up for me. Think I
can do this on my own??
Table
illustrates the number of times Steelers, with first down, ran on both first
& second down. A figure of 2/5 for
instance, means that out of five first downs, Steelers went run-run on two
occasions. Note that the numbers do not
equate to the number of Steelers possessions, but rather to the number of times
that they were set up with 1st down, thus there could be multiple
first downs per possession.

Analysis
It appears,
IMO, that perhaps our collective perception has not matched reality. While we may continue to be justly critical
of formations, specific play calls.it appears that our allegation that the
Pittsburgh Steelers have become a Run/Run/Pass team under the direction of Bruce
Arians is without sufficient base.
Certainly, my sense that the
Going
run/run on 20% of first half possessions doesnt seem to be an overly large
number. Of course, I have no comparative figures on the tendencies of other NFL
teams.and if you think Im researching that..youre fuckin
crazy!!
One certainly
expects the Pittsburgh Steelers, when playing with a lead, to take the air out
of the ball in the second half. Thus,
consider
a. In the spirit of taking away the long
run, if one removes the 4th quarters of the 3 Steelers losses, the
4Q numbers jump to 30/51, or 58.8%
b. Six of the eight Steelers victories
have involved playing with a healthy lead during the second half (all Ws sans

In
conclusion, harrumph, harrumph, blah, blah, blahas usual, many of dont know
what the fuck were talking about, but that fact nevertheless, poses no
obstacle, in putting forth our baseless opinions, devoid of facts to support,
often in the face of date to the contrary.

Still
scared as hell of tomorrows game.combo of
a. The pattern (been talking this to death for
awhile now.past two years, weve lost at Heinz to the Shitty Bengals, both losses following a Steelers Monday nighter).
b. The injuries:
No Troy sucksand yes, I know that we shut out Seattle without Troy, but
the safety tandem for that game was Anthony Smith & Ryan Clark, not Tyrone Carter.
The safeties that started the year for us are both out this game. I love Tyrone Carter, and he hits like hell,
but the Little Midget doesnt cover so good.
c. The Shitty Bengals: Chris Henrys backand The Homo Carson Palmer
has been lighting it up as late.
Might have
a tough time sleeping tonight.will watch alone tomorrow night....nervous fuckin wreck, per usual.
