Hard Hat Award (Game #6, @ Dallas)
Stiller LB James Farrior is the winner of the weekly Hard
Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough,
hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still
mill.
Farrior was a man among boys on Sunday afternoon, making plays all over the field and forcing an incredible 3 fumbles. His first FF didn't technically create a turnover, but it caused the ball to roll backwards and OOB, and the yardage lost nullified what was originally first-down yardage, thus forcing the Cowgirls to punt. His third FF will live in Stiller lore right up there with Kevin Henry's INT in the 1997 regular season win over NE. Farrior belted FB Richie Andreson while blitzing, and that momentum pushed Andy back into Vinny Testicle, who then allowed the ball to dislodge from his hands for a critical turnover. This is the kind of tough, hard-nosed, never-say-die linebacking that allows a defense to win the tight, tough ballgames.
Special mention goes to all the Stillers fan who dominated Texas Stadium before, during, and after this contest. You all represented the Stillers well! Have an 'Arn on me!
Kudos to Farrior for winning the weekly Hard Hat Award. Wear the Hard Hat proudly, James!
