Notes on the Bengal Game:

Front 7: In Buffalo, this group beat the hell out of a very bad Bills O-line. In the Heinz opener Sunday, this group beat the hell out of a pretty decent O-line. Willie Andersen is a player, the Cin-City interior guys are competent and Richmond Webb, though past his prime, is still better than Kris Farris and whoever replaced him. The Bengal line isnt great but it is above average; the Stiller front still dominated and thats all good.

Coaching genius: I was beginning to think that I wouldnt live to see a Stiller CB up at the LOS on the snap. DW and Scott pressed constantly in the 1st half and were most effective then. Kitna did his damage late against a cheesy prevent. The Stillers have got the horses on the corners and Coach Lewis did well to let em loose. You know, multi-WR teams (like the Rams) work on the notion that their 3rd WR is better than your 3rd CB. That wont be true as long as Deshea plays as he has; Peter Warrick has ability but got nothing done against #26. Well done all around.

Red Zone: The Stillers were in the zone (4) times in the 1st half but came away with only (10) points. That wont cut it against quality opposition. This team has a QB in his 5th year as a starter; this team has a QB coach; this team has a 6-6 WR. How is it possible that this team cannot execute an EZ fade?
